I can't say enough great things about Ms. Long! She was the speech therapist for our oldest son during his time in early intervention. She was dedicated and met my little one where he was, always working from a strength-based lens. Her ability to connect with him and passion for her work, was felt and showed. This made her time with our son extremely transformative. She maintained great communication and was supportive through some uncertain times. She gave me confidence in moments when I wasn't sure how much my son would progress. We are eternally greatful to Ms. Long. We now have a very verbal and verbally agile 4 year old!
Ms. Long is now providing services for our new 18 month old, and we couldn't be happier! There was no question on who our service provider would be, once the need for speech services was identified! She's become an unofficial member of our family.
I want to take the time to acknowledge the speech provider that our daughter had during her early intervention experience from 2019-2020. We were blessed to have had a wonderful speech therapist who truly adored our girl. She put so much effort, time and care into the sessions she had via telehealth. She was exceptional in her role and helped my wife and I with parent training to best serve our daughter at home. She provided great resources and was patient and kind when we had questions. We felt her investment in our daughter's growth and loved how much she cared.
Our little girl did not have a strong vocabulary before working with Kelsey. Our baby now identifies everyone in the family properly, is singing her ABCs, knows numbers, colors and so much more.
"In just a few months..."
My son received speech services with Kelsey for a little over one year. Initially, he was only able to say 10-15 words. Kelsey created and carried out an individualized treatment plan that addressed specific functional needs for him. Kelsey's thoughtful planning helped him improve his vocabulary, utterance length and sentence structure when speaking. I saw a lot of improvement in just a few months. My son is now speaking in complete sentences and is able to communicate his needs. Thank you Kelsey!
"I now know the impact a great SLP has on an entire family"
In the time that my daughter worked with Kelsey, she made immense progress. In addition to updating us regularly on what our daughter was working on in her speech sessions, Kelsey also took the time to teach us how to continue working on these skills at home.
Kelsey has had an incredible impact on our daughter's life. We are now able to connect with her not only to understand her wants and needs but also to understand her as a whole person.
I now know the impact that a great SLP has, not only on a child but on the entire family.
"If you’re ready to not only make a change but BE THE CHANGE in your child’s speech progression, you want her in your corner. It is truly a team effort and she will be the biggest supporter"
Let me start by saying I am a no-nonsense parent of a child diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, along with severe food and environmental allergies as well as asthma. Kelsey was not only our daughter's first speech therapist but she quickly became a big family supporter. She was always proactive and taking initiative. She loved and cared for our child but most importantly she was honest, real and so patient. Kelsey always believed in our daughter's abilities and supported our decision to allow speech therapy to work it’s magic. SHE was the one who worked her magic. It was a team effort from beginning to end. We absolutely love Kelsey and to this day, we still feel her genuine support and love for our daughter with her check ins. If you’re ready to not only make a change but BE THE CHANGE in your child’s speech progression, you want her in your corner. It is truly a team effort and she will be the biggest supporter for not only your child but the family too. WE LOVE HER!
